Tribute to Sabeen Mahmud [fr]

A tribute to Sabeen Mahmud, founder of PieceNiche and Director T2F in Karachi was held at the Alliance française Karachi on Thursday, 30th April 2015. Sabeen Mahmud was killed on April 24. This ceremony appreciated her commitment for culture, dialogue between peoples and freedom of expression, which formed the guideline of her action.

Many participants recalled the deep links with the Embassy of France and the Alliance française. Sabeen Mahmud had attended, at the invitation of the Embassy of France and the Ministry of Culture, a seminar on cultural institutions at the service of urban development, in France in March 2015.
