Visit in Pakistan of the French Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan – Statement by the French Embassy in Pakistan

" During last week’s Tokyo conference, France
announced a substantial assistance to
Pakistan.

France’s special representative for Pakistan and Afghanistan, Mr Pierre
Lellouche, is currently on a four day visit to meet with the
civilian and military authorities, leaders
of political parties and members of the civil society. He is in Pakistan to
listen, understand and share views with all stakeholders to ensure a follow up
to the

Tokyo meeting of the Friends of Democratic Pakistan


and donors’ conference. 

During the Tokyo conference, Mr. 
Pierre Lellouche announced a 300 million euros assistance package from France
over the next three years. This is a major gesture on behalf of France".
