Pak-France Alumni Network (PFAN) is an association of scholars, formally registered with the government of Pakistan, and also sponsored by the French Embassy in Islamabad. Founded in 2009 in order to bring together and help maintain a network of Pakistanis who have pursued their higher studies in French universities and institutes.
The objectives of the association are numerous, ranging from keeping the ties with French language and culture among its members, to assisting its members to strengthen research links with French institutions. Details can be seen on PFAN website www.pfan.org.pk.
On 4th May 2012, PFAN achieved yet another milestone by launching its PFAN Central branch, covering Lahore, Faisalabad and the associated region. The launching ceremony took place at the Alliance Francaise of Lahore and around 20 alumni participated in this initial event.
PFAN receives a strong support from the Director AF Lahore, Mr Dominique Scobry, to strenghten the links between the AF Lahore and the PFAN members. It was also discussed in the event that a huge potential of French alumni exist in Lahore (and surrounding areas) and PFAN now enthusiastically look forward to involve maximum of these alumni into its association.
